坂本 嘉治馬(さかもと かじま) 慶応2年~昭和13年(1866-1938)
坂本嘉治馬は、上京して小野梓が経営する東洋館書店に入り、梓の死後、小野義真の援助で冨山房へと発展させました。
そこでは『大日本家庭百科事典』、 『大日本国語事典』、『大言海』、『国民百科事典』、『大日本地名事典』などを出版しました。
また、数々の社会事業にも私財を投じ、宿毛でも彼の志をもとにした坂本図書館が今も多くの人々に利用されています。
Kajima Sakamoto took over ownership of the Toyokan Bookstore after the death of Azusa One.
With the help of Gishin Ono, he established what is now taday's Fuzanbo.
He published many notable Japanese encyclopedias such at "Dainihon Kateihyakka Jiten","Daioihon Kokago Jiten","Daigenkai" ,"Kokumin Hyakka Jiten" , and "Daitsihon Chimei Jhen" .
The Sakamoto Library was named in honour of his generous support and financial donations he gave in his later years.
