日新館跡

会所（現文教センター）のなかの講授館、物産所のなかの文館、と移転、発展していった宿毛の郷学校でしたが、慶応3年に文館は廃止され、あらたに日新館を新設しました（現宿毛小学校敷地内）。
その後土佐藩の藩制改革により日新館はすべてを藩に寄付され、藩立日新館としてさらに活動をつづけました。
講授役には酒井南嶺があたっていました。

In 1867,“Bunkan”was moved where the Sukumo primary school stands today and reestablished and renamed as a“Nisshinkan”.
But after the Tosa Domain's reconstruction,“Nisshinkan”have to donate all the function to the Tosa Domain and it called“Tosa domain's Nisshinkan”but they were allowed their activities and Nanrei Sakai was selected as a professor.
